Trimmer/ Plant Support

We are seeking experienced individuals who bring either a traditional horticultural background and/or experience in growing top-quality cannabis. As a Trimmer, you will be a member of a team who are responsible for the day-to-day care of the nurturing of plants from seed to harvest in the highly-regulated California cannabis industry. You will operate under the highest standards of professionalism. You will be expected to follow all applicable laws and regulations, and all company policies, procedures, and practices as they apply to security, verification, and inventory plans.



Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform all the tasks in the grow including: cloning, transplanting, feeding plants, defoliation, super cropping, topping, flushing, foliar and preventative sprays, trimming, packaging, waste disposal and inventory management.

  • Pruning plants to maximize flower size

  • Picking and pruning dead leaves in Flower Rooms.

  • Harvesting Flower Rooms.

  • Transplanting vegetative plants into Flower Rooms.

  • Ability to work well in a small team environment.

  • Preparing dried product for trimming.

  • Cleaning and reassembly of rooms and equipment.

  • Ability to follow instructions on safe use of all chemicals/cleaning materials.

  • Verbal communication skills.

  • Manage cannabis plants, giving each individual plant the attention it needs one at a time.

  • Follow instructions for plant scheduling and organization to precisely perform all garden needs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to keep garden green and expenses low.

  • Execute preventative maintenance and elimination of all types of mold, powdery mildew, spider mites, root aphids, fungus gnats, etc.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  • Assist state and local government auditors and law enforcement with inventory, sales and compliance audits.

  • Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.

  • All other functions as designated by the Cultivation Manager or Senior Manager (where applicable). 

Competency Requirements

  • Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required of a high volume and demanding grow warehouse.

  • Knowledge of the cannabis plant and genetics.

  • Must be able to provide references.

  • Must have accountability, proactive behavior and strong attention to detail.

  • You are at least 21 years of age.

  • Must be able to obtain a local cannabis agent registration card.

  • Must be able to pass required city and state background checks.

  • Good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity, especially with use of sharp instruments. 

  • Ability to work effectively with supervisors and co-workers. 

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide clear and concise details when interacting with peers.

  • Ability to follow instructions on safe use of all chemicals/cleaning materials. 

  • Ability to perform tasks with tools, ladders, and lifts in a safe and effective manner. 

  • Verbal communication skills, and accurate math skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment.

Requirements to be performed, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Standing, walking, lifting, twisting, and bending on a frequent basis for at least 8 hour shifts.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and carry it up to 90 feet (or deposit into dumpster or trash compactor). 
  • Ability to work and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.


A vendor will be utilized to conduct a background check on all new hires upon acceptance of an offer of employment. Information collected in this application will be verified during the background check process.
