Facilities Manager

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall health and wellness of all plants as well as workers. He or she will implement and oversee all aspects of the operation, including building-related programs and procedures that support the Facilities standards of cleanliness, safety, and remaining in good repair. Primary responsibilities include daily, weekly and monthly inspections and follow ups. Oversee vendor activities related to scheduling and work progress to ensure quality of work. Perform routine maintenance and repairs in the areas of painting, carpentry, plumbing, equipment, and all related building components. Provide training support for the company, as needed. 

You will operate under the highest standards of professionalism. You will be expected to follow all applicable laws and regulations, and all company policies, procedures, and practices as they apply to security, verification, and inventory plans.



Primary Responsibilities

  • Daily monitoring of grow facilities support functions and updates.

  • Managerial oversite of all aspects of the operation (pruning, cloning, reservoirs, schedules, harvesting, preparing flower for trimming, transplanting, etc.).

  • Ordering and Inventory of company equipment.

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly building inspections to identify necessary repairs.

  • Complete necessary repairs or schedule repairs with vendors as necessary.

  • Provide constant attention to all life safety issues. Ensures building emergency systems are operational through in-house inspections and vendor maintenance contracts.

  • Inspect and provide direction and follow-up with janitorial service provider.

  • Spraying for pests and IPM management.

  • Caretaking Mother Rooms and Vegetative Rooms.

  • Adjusting all reservoirs for correct fertilizer ratios (PPM) and correct PH to the parameters set forth by senior staff.

  • Ability to clone, prune, and fertilize mother plants.

  • Report all facility issues that are not immediately repairable to the General Manager. 

  • Ensure consistent maintenance and repair methods for all building components.

  • Develop routine systems to ensure constant monitoring of problem areas.

  • Work with General Manager to ensure procedures support an environment that is clean, safe, and in good repair for both associates and guests.

  • Understand and track Variable Operating Expenses related to maintenance, repairs, and supplies.

  • Experience with Inventory Management.

  • Maintain time schedules for all plants and employees in the facility.

  • Ensure that all PPE are properly sanitized at the end of each work day, including laundry management and adherence to all prescribed wash procedures.

  • Answer guests’ questions and concerns.

  • Maintain regular personal attendance for all scheduled shifts per the Management Work Schedule Policy.

  • Maintain regular correspondence with senior staff members.

  • All other functions as designated by the General Manager or Senior Manager (where applicable).

Skills & Qualifications

  • You are at least 21 years of age.

  • Ability to follow multiple formulas and perform tasks with same results each time.

  • Ability to follow instructions on safe use of all chemicals/cleaning materials.

  • Basic understanding of organic chemistry and chemicals used in the facility.

  • Identify nutritional deficiencies through observation of plant material.

  • Ability to perform tasks with tools, ladders, and lifts in a safe and effective manner.

  • High degree of attention to detail to perform facility inspections on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

  • Firm understanding of Microsoft Excel.

  • Verbal communication skills.

  • Accurate math involving ratios.

  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment. 

  • Ability to interact with guests.

  • Standing, walking, lifting, twisting, and bending on a frequent basis for at least 8 hour shifts. 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and carry it up to 90 feet (or deposit into dumpster or trash compactor).

  • Accessible to receive and send real-time correspondence away from working location and outside of regular hours. 

  • Must be able to pass required city and state background checks.

  • Ability to work and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. 

  • Good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity, especially with use of sharp instruments. 



A vendor will be utilized to conduct a background check on all new hires upon acceptance of an offer of employment. Information collected in this application will be verified during the background check process.
